Common house mosquito
The mosquito you actually meet on your patio. Breeds in standing water, even small amounts. Most active at dusk.
Western treehole mosquito
Aggressive daytime biter, common in wooded yards. Breeds in tree holes, leaf-clogged gutters, and any organic-matter-filled water.

How we work
Our process
for mosquitoes.
Every visit runs the same way: a real walk-through, a written report after every service, and warranty re-treatment at no charge, within 48 hours, if the pests come back between visits.
Identify breeding sources
We walk the property and find every standing-water source: gutters, planter saucers, low spots in the yard, neglected birdbaths, drainage pinch points. Drain or treat each one.
Larvicide where we cannot drain
Some water cannot be removed (rain barrels, ponds, low spots in clay soil). We apply targeted larvicide that kills mosquito larvae without harming the pond ecosystem.
Barrier treat the resting spots
Adult mosquitoes rest on the underside of leaves, on shaded foliage, and under decks. Eco-friendly barrier treatment in those spots reduces the adult population for weeks at a time.

We treat the shaded resting spots where adult mosquitoes wait out the day, like dense shrubs, tree lines, and under decks, and we knock down standing-water breeding sites. It is a backyard treatment calibrated to the season, heavier from May through August.
How do you control mosquitoes in a backyard?
Take the water away first, then treat where the adults rest. Anything holding water after rain is a nursery: buckets, tarps, plant saucers, a blocked gutter, a tarp over the woodpile. Change birdbaths and troughs at least twice a week. Once the breeding sites are gone we barrier-treat the shaded spots where adults wait out the day, and larvicide any water that genuinely cannot be drained, like a pond or a ditch.
Does do-it-yourself mosquito control work?
The water half does, and it is the half that matters most. Emptying containers and clearing gutters is free and it removes the source. The spraying half is where DIY tends to disappoint: a hardware-store fogger kills the adults in front of you for about a day and does nothing to the larvae, so the yard refills by the weekend.
How much does mosquito control cost?
Mosquito control is a seasonal program rather than a single visit, since the treatments hold for a few weeks and then need a refresh. Price depends on the size of the yard and how much standing water it has. We walk the property and give you a seasonal number upfront, before any work starts.
Does mosquito spraying actually work?
Spraying the adults works, but only for a day or two if that is all you do, because the breeding source keeps producing more. The treatments that hold combine barrier spraying of the resting areas with larviciding or draining the standing water. That is the difference between a fogger and real mosquito control.
How long does a mosquito treatment last?
A treatment typically holds for several weeks, which is why most yards are on a recurring schedule through the warm months. Heavy rain and fast growth can shorten that, so we time visits to the season and your property.
When should I start mosquito control in the PNW?
Late spring is the time to start, before the population builds. Getting ahead of the first hatch makes the whole season easier than trying to knock down a heavy population in July.
What can I do myself between visits?
Take away the water. Empty anything holding it after rain, change birdbaths and troughs at least twice a week, and make sure the gutters are actually draining. Treating the yard only goes so far while something on the property is still breeding them.
