Rodent Control in Woodway
Roof rats using Woodway's tree canopy to reach the roofline
Roof rats are climbers, and the mature Douglas firs and cedars here give them a road from the ravines straight onto the roof. From there they find gaps at roof returns, gable vents, soffits and where chimneys meet the roof. Mice and Norway rats come in lower, through crawl space vents and gaps around utility lines. Because lots are big and houses are screened, activity can go unnoticed for a while.
Rodent control in Woodway means working the whole shell of the house, from the peak to the foundation. We seal gaps a quarter inch and up with hardware cloth, sheet metal, mortar or copper mesh, set tamper-resistant bait stations outside and snap traps inside, and return to check them. Trim branches back several feet from the roof, and listen for movement in the attic around dusk.
